They happen to live
On my block
Next door
They bring music and light
Straight into the air
That floats up to my porch
I have the exquisite luxury
Of a violin and piano duet
On the odd summer afternoon
There is no price
I could pay
For this gift
It drops in my lap
And I live in constant fear
That someday
They might move away
A private recital? A home concert? As you say, "a gift" to relish for the moments of transcendence. Carpe diem!
It’s so nice to have such neighbors! We have thumpers and screamers.
